first_imgGhana’s local Black Stars are through to the semi-finals to face Nigeria  in the African Nations Championship   after defeating DR Congo 1-0 on Sunday.The  mouth-watering West Africa semi-final against Nigeria to be played on Wednesday 29th January at the same venue.Again defender Kwabena Adusei stepped up to convert the match winner from the spot in the 67th minute to seal a last-four berth for the home-based national team.The goal was the defender’s second at the tournament exclusive to players based in their home countries. Adusei is now Ghana’s top scorer with two goals to his credit.The hard fought win at the Free State Stadium somehow was hands Ghana a payback after DR Congo edged to the title in the first edition of the tournament in 2009.DR Congo enjoyed good moments in the tough contest but failed to score to add up to their bright display.
