first_imgThe RCMP was dispatched at approximately 11:10 a.m. this morning to the accident north of Fort St. John on the Alaska Highway.“The collision involved two semi logging trucks,” writes Cpl. Jodi Shelkie. “One truck, slowing down to make a turn, was rear-ended by a second truck.”Unfortunately, the driver of the second truck was the victim of today’s collision.- Advertisement -Investigators believe that visibility and road conditions contributed to the accident.This section of the Alaska Highway is expected to remain closed in both directions until 7:00 p.m. tonight, however a detour has been put in place.Detours have been made available through Montney Highway 114, 287 Road and 256 Road.Advertisementlast_img
