Inishowen politican Mac Lochlainn didn’t hold back on his view.“Did Pádraig Pearse have a mandate? Did James Connolly? Sheer hypocrisy on the TV3 documentary from those who abandoned hundreds of thousands to an apartheid state,” said the Donegal Deputy.“The Republican Movement from the 1918 to 1921 period emerged undefeated from a two year war and tragically were split down the middle over the peace settlement.“The modern Republican Movement emerged undefeated from a 25 year war with overwhelming support in their ranks for the peace settlement. Both wars were profound tragedies. “But for those who are where they are today thanks to the period of conflict from 1916 to 1921 to attempt to demonise and criminalise those caught up in the most recent conflict takes some brass neck. Of course, it’s nothing to do with the growing strength of my party….” added Mac Lochlainn in a sarcastic end to a post on Facebook. TD Mac LOCHLAINN IN BLISTERING ATTACK ON TV3 OVER ‘BLINKERED’ DOCUMENTARY was last modified: December 3rd, 2013 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:PADRAIG MACLOCHLAINNlast_img
